ABOUT JOAO

Joao Marques hails from Lisbon, Portugal and is fast becoming well-known internationally for his distinctive, emotive directing style. Joao started directing commercials ten years ago and has developed a signature style that is visually stunning.

As a musician Joao began with directing music videos but since both his parents are advertising creatives, Joao was never far from concept and art. His lifelong love of film led him to study directing and scriptwriting in London and he returned to Europe and started directing commercials.

Joao is an exciting addition to the Propeller team offering an intelligent artistic perspective that is dynamic and fluid. Joao also has a punk rock band that has toured the World a few times.
